The Story of the Family
Wine has been at the heart of our family for five generations. Since the estate’s founding in the 1870s, when it covered just 3 to 4 hectares and focused primarily on dry and sweet white wines, our passion has remained unchanged: to honour our terroir while embracing sustainable and responsible viticulture.
Over time, the estate expanded, planting red grape varieties on the surrounding hillsides and growing with each generation. Today, Jean-Christophe, son of Michel Blouin, proudly carries on the family tradition—crafting wines that reflect the richness of the land and the heritage of those who came before him.
Nestled between the Loire and Layon rivers, in the picturesque village of Saint-Aubin-de-Luigné—often called the Pearl of the Layon—our estate offers a unique expression of this exceptional terroir.
We are committed to environmentally conscious farming. Our efforts to protect biodiversity and cultivate in harmony with nature have earned us both Terra Vitis and HVE (High Environmental Value) certifications. We believe in preserving natural spaces to encourage the presence of helpful species essential to the health of our vines.
Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or on a professional journey, we welcome you to taste, explore, and reconnect with the land—right here on the Wine Route, in the heart of Anjou.
Tasting Notes:
A brilliant golden yellow wine with an open, intense nose blending acacia honey, citronella, and candied fruits like pineapple and quince. On the palate, it’s round and creamy with a lively freshness, making it light, balanced, and easy to enjoy.
